Volleyball Game Preview: North East Carolina Prep Huskies vs. Wilson Prep Tigers

The North East Carolina Prep Huskies will square off against the Wilson Prep Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North East Carolina Prep comes in on four and Wilson Prep on six.

While North East Carolina Prep's win against Howard wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday.

North East Carolina Prep was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (99-96), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 15-25, 25-20, 15-10.

If Washington County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wilson Prep, they should've done a better job of containing My Angel Brimage. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers on Tuesday for which the team can thank Brimage, who had six kills and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wilson Prep took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-13.

North East Carolina Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wilson Prep, their record is now 6-0.

North East Carolina Prep came up short against Wilson Prep when the teams last played back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
