Volleyball Recap: Quinter Comes Up Short

Quinter was the 2-1 winner over Dighton when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Shaylee Baalman paced Quinter's offense, picking up 11 kills. Baalman got some help from Kendyl Johnson and her 31 assists. Finally, Lexi May kept Quinter's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Quinter's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Dighton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Quinter has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Greeley County on the 11th. As for Dighton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Rawlins County on the 11th.
