Basketball Recap: Hemphill Drops Season-High Score on Corrigan-Camden

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hemphill). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-38 win over the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs. The Hornets pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

The victory was the third in a row for Hemphill, bringing their record for this year to 11-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Corrigan-Camden, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hemphill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelbyville will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Hemphill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Corrigan-Camden, they and Woden will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
