Baseball Game Preview: Paso Robles Bearcats vs. Templeton Eagles

For the second straight game, Paso Robles will face off against Templeton. The Bearcats will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paso Robles will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Paso Robles beat Templeton 5-1.

Cole Walker looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marcus Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Xander Hermanson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Paso Robles pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Templeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
