League recap: South Walton scores huge upset over Chipley

The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Walton, who took down 299th ranked Chipley, 45-38. Johnathan Ortner threw for 318 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 64 yards during the win.

The Seahawks scaled the state rankings by moving to 379 from 430 this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 3. South Walton was able to move up by defeating the Tigers 45-38.

He was 25-38 with 0 interceptions.

Sage Roberts was the best receiver in the league this week as Phil Tisa's team topped Chipley. Roberts racked up 7 receptions for 117 yards. Alex Smith helped South Walton's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 84 yards.

The Seahawks' Ortner and Roberts led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Ortner has thrown for 1,030 yards this season, while Roberts has 30 catches for 440 yards. Chip Harris' team's kobe mccary leads the league in rushing yards with 568.

Blountstown extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 3 this week by beating Bozeman, 45-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tigers.
