Soccer Recap: Temecula Valley Comes Up Short

Temecula Valley lost against Linfield Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Temecula Valley Golden Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Linfield Christian Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Bears came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Lions are ranked 658th).

This is the second loss in a row for Temecula Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Linfield Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temecula Valley will take on Etiwanda in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Etiwanda's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Linfield Christian and Western Christian will round out the year against one another at at 9:30 a.m. on December 26th.
