Baseball Game Preview: Clarke County Eagles vs. Strasburg Rams

The Clarke County Eagles will challenge the Strasburg Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Clarke County was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Luray on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since May 20, 2022.

Meanwhile, Strasburg waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with a 16-1 win.

Strasburg got a massive performance out of Ryan Reynolds, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Brady Flynn was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page County only posted an OBP of .318.

Strasburg's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Clarke County, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
