Volleyball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Columbiana back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Clippers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 12, 2021, but that streak is no more.

While Springfield had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Springfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Columbiana, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will welcome McDonald at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbiana, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m.
