Baseball Recap: Chesterfield Comes Up Short

If Chesterfield was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Anson last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chesterfield Golden Rams fell 8-4 to the McBee Panthers on Thursday. The Golden Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Chesterfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Adams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chesterfield fell to 2-1. As for McBee, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Chesterfield will challenge North Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McBee, a feisty cat fight will be fought as McBee Panthers duke it out with Lewisville Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give they their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
