Softball Recap: Lindsay Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Lindsay, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Chico Dragons 15-0 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Hielckert, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Reagan Swaney, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Lindsay lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Lindsay's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Chico, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Lindsay will square off against Alvord at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvord has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something Lindsay will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chico, they will welcome Era at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
