Lyons won the last time they faced Skyline and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 14-2 win. Considering the Lions have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyons has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, their loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyons will take on Southeast of Saline on Thursday. As for Skyline, they will venture away from home to take on Spearville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
