Baseball Recap: Southmoreland Takes a Loss

Southmoreland fell victim to Greensburg Central Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Centurions, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Scotties in their meetings with the Centurions: they've now lost four in a row.

Southmoreland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

When Southmoreland and Greensburg Central Catholic next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Scotties will try to stop Freeport's five-game winning streak when they meet at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Greensburg Central Catholic will square off against Jeannette and their four-game winning streak at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
