Baseball Recap: Ripon Triumphs

The Ripon Indians beat the Los Banos Tigers 7-3 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Michael Faria and Brayden McDowell did most of the damage at the plate: Faria went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while McDowell went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits McDowell has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Landon Espinola, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ripon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Los Banos, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ripon is headed away from home for the first time to take on Ceres at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Los Banos, they will head out to face off against Oakdale at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
