Softball Recap: Edward Little Finds Home Field Redemption Against Messalonskee

There's no place like home for Edward Little, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Messalonskee Eagles on Wednesday. The Red Eddies haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Chloe LeBlanc spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Edward Little saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Galway, who went 3-for-4 with one double. Those three hits gave Galway a new career-high.

Edward Little pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Messalonskee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
