Softball Recap: Gordo Comes Up Short

Gordo blew South Lamar out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday South Lamar got their revenge. The Gordo Green Wave fell just short of the South Lamar Stallions by a score of 4-2. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gordo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for South Lamar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Gordo will be playing in front of their home fans against Bibb County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Lamar, they have already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Lamar County on the 8th.
