Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the R.A. Long Lumberjacks, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lumberjacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Wednesday.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for R.A. Long, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Woodland is set to take on their familiar foe Columbia River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, R.A. Long will face off against rival Ridgefield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
