High school football start dates for all 50 states

Opening kickoff is just six weeks away in Hawaii.

The 2025 high school football season kicks off in just over a month. Teams from Hawaii will be the first to take the field and by Aug. 24, half the states in the country will be underway.

We begin our preseason coverage in two weeks with the release of the initial MaxPreps Top 25. We will then dive deep into each position as well as offering up our Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team.
