Soccer Recap: King's Christian Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If King's Christian was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Abundant Life Academy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell 3-1 to The Pilgrim Academy on Tuesday. King's Christian were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matches prior), but The Pilgrim Academy's defense proved too tough.

King's Christian's goal came courtesy of Cole Carver, who's now up to 21 this season.

King's Christian's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4-1. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

King's Christian is taking a road trip to take on Veritas Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. King's Christian will be up against Veritas Christian Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.22 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Holy Spirit at 4:00 p.m.
