Recap: Morro Bay Pirates vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers
The Morro Bay Pirates lost against the Pioneer Valley Panthers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Morro Bay fell to Pioneer Valley 53-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Morro Bay in their matchups with Pioneer Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.
It was another big night for Inderveer Toor, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds for Pioneer Valley. That makes it four consecutive games in which Toor has scored at least a third of Pioneer Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Elias Giddings, who scored 14 points.
Morro Bay has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Pioneer Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.
