Baseball Recap: Concord Minutemen vs. Fairfield Falcons
After flying high against Elkhart Christian Academy on Thursday, Concord came back down to earth. The Minutemen fell 7-3 to the Fairfield Falcons on Saturday. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Noah Norwood was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Herman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Concord's record now sits at 4-4. As for Fairfield, they moved to 7-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Looking ahead, Concord will head out on the road to challenge Mishawaka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cavemen will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Minutemen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fairfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaVille at 5:30 p.m. on May 5.
