Volleyball Recap: Hercules Comes Up Short

Hercules was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Pinole Valley Spartans, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 22, 2023, but that streak is no more.

While Hercules ultimately came up short, they really made Pinole Valley work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 26-24, 25-19.

Hercules now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Pinole Valley, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Looking ahead, Hercules will look to defend their home court on Monday against St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. As for Pinole Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mission San Jose at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
