Basketball Recap: Cannon Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Miami

Cannon is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Miami. The Cannon Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over the Miami Stingarees. The 50-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Cannon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenedi Dixon, who posted 13 points and three steals. Khloe Thompson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Cannon's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Miami, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
