Basketball Recap: Reno Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Reno had won four straight games and James Williams did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Huskies took down the Grants Pass Cavemen 70-52 with plenty of help from Williams, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Bodee Lyman, who posted ten points and three steals. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

Reno's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Grants Pass, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reno will take on Galena in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grants Pass and Jesuit will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
