Softball Game Preview: Kalida Wildcats vs. McComb Panthers

The Kalida Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the McComb Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kalida has given up an average of 16.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kalida came up short against Continental on Tuesday, falling 29-2. The Wildcats have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McComb, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Vanlue on Monday as they made off with a 20-9 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

McComb's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Kalida, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
