Recap: Rossview Hawks vs. Dickson County Cougars
There's no place like home for the Rossview Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 91-80 win over Dickson County on Tuesday. Given Rossview's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Dickson County is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rossview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Hankemeier out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. The match was Hankemeier's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quamond Linsey, who scored 19 points.
Rossview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Dickson County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Rossview will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kenwood at 7:30 p.m. Kenwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Dickson County, they will head out on the road to face off against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
