Football Game Preview: Lena-Winslow Panthers vs. Morrison Mustangs + How To Watch

The Lena-Winslow Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Morrison Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lena-Winslow has three straight victories, Morrison has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Lena-Winslow took their game with ease, bagging a 47-6 win over Fulton. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three contests by 38 points or more so far this season.

Damian Rivera produced another solid effort rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one score. Carson Hill was another key rusher, rushing for 52 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lena-Winslow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fulton only rushed for seven.

Meanwhile, Morrison took a blow against Stockton on Friday, falling 60-20. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 83rd).

Lena-Winslow's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Morrison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Lena-Winslow's way against Morrison in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Lena-Winslow made off with a 32-6 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
