The Marion Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Centralia Orphans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 43.8 points per game this season.

Marion is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cahokia just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comanches. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Centralia beat Carbondale 35-23 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Orphans.

Centralia's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Marion might still be hurting after the 35-13 defeat they got from Centralia when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
