Baseball Game Preview: Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels vs. Kelley Mariners

Moose Lake/Willow River is 7-1 against Kelley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rebels will head out to square off against the Mariners at 1:00 p.m. Moose Lake/Willow River will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Moose Lake/Willow River will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Crosby-Ironton, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Rebels skirted past the Rangers 11-10.

Meanwhile, Kelley fell victim to Barnum and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bombers, falling 7-0. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moose Lake/Willow River pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Kelley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Moose Lake/Willow River was able to grind out a solid victory over Kelley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 12-8. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
