Recap: Genesee Wolves vs. Capac Chiefs
The Genesee Wolves's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Capac with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. The victory was just what Genesee needed coming off of a 44-19 loss in their prior match.
Averie Zinn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with nine steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Genesee's points. Another player making a difference was Simpson Autumn, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
The win got Genesee back to even at 3-3. As for Capac, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Genesee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on International Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Capac will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sandusky at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
