Baseball Recap: Winlock Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Winlock was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Rainier Mountaineers, falling 11-1. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the Mountaineers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Winlock and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Rainier, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Rainier will venture away from home to face off against Adna at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Mountaineers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Winlock will be paying especially close attention to Rainier's contest: after Rainier faces off against Adna, they'll take on Winlock again at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
