Albuquerque is 8-2 against West Mesa since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Albuquerque will welcome West Mesa at 4:00 p.m. The game will give Albuquerque their first taste of in-conference action this season.

On Saturday, Albuquerque didn't have quite enough to beat East Mountain and fell 9-8. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Erick Aceves made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Maximo Granados was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Aceves wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Albuquerque kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for Albuquerque: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 11.8.

Meanwhile, West Mesa fell victim to Eldorado and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 16-0 to the Golden Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

West Mesa's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Albuquerque, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Albuquerque beat West Mesa 7-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Albuquerque have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Mesa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
