Basketball Game Preview: Centerville Bulldogs vs. Winchester Community Golden Falcons

The Centerville Bulldogs will square off against the Winchester Community Golden Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centerville will be strutting in after a victory while Winchester Community will be coming in after a loss.

Centerville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They strolled past Union County with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Patriots are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Winchester Community was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 68-57 to Jay County. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Falcons have lost by exactly 11 points.

Centerville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points over those games. Winchester Community now has a losing record of 11-12.

Centerville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Winchester Community when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win.
