Football Recap: Silverdale Academy Takes a Loss

Silverdale Academy lost against Bledsoe County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seahawks were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the Warriors. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bledsoe County found their leader in sophomore Lilianne Sherrell, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 190 yards while completing 72.2% of her passes. Sherrell is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when she posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-1 (and 1-6 when she doesn't).

Silverdale Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bledsoe County, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Silverdale Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bledsoe County, they will challenge Rhea County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Golden Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.67 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
