Basketball Recap: Elmwood Comes Up Short

Elmwood played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Gibsonburg Golden Bears, falling 62-38. The Royals were probably out for revenge after losing 62-39 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Elmwood and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Gibsonburg, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Elmwood and Gibsonburg next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Elmwood will try to stop Otsego's six-game winning streak when the meet at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Gibsonburg will challenge Mohawk and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
