Soccer Game Preview: Tellico Plains vs. Tyner Academy

The Tellico Plains Bears will square off against the Tyner Academy Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tellico Plains has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tellico Plains came into their game on April 1st off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 10-2. Tellico Plains haven't had much luck with Sweetwater recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy got the win against Chattanooga Central on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-3. Tyner Academy haven't had any issues with Chattanooga Central recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Tyner Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-6-2. As for Tellico Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Tellico Plains might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Tyner Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
