Volleyball Game Preview: Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans vs. Annawan Braves/Bravettes

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] is 1-8 against Annawan since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Braves/Bravettes at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] didn't have quite enough to beat Abingdon/Avon and fell 2-1.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Annawan posted their closest win since October 1st on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Galva. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves/Bravettes.

Annawan was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-14, 25-11.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s defeat dropped their record down to 2-27. As for Annawan, their win bumped their record up to 9-19-1.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] skirted past Annawan 2-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Braves/Bravettes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
