Baseball Recap: Stevenson Victorious

While Stevenson's victory against North Farmington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Raiders 5-4 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Christian Lang was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Stevenson is undefeated when Lang posts two or more runs, but 7-15-1 otherwise.

Stevenson's victory bumped their record up to 13-15-1. As for North Farmington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Coming up, Stevenson will look to defend their home field on Monday against Belleville at 4:30 p.m. As for North Farmington, they will face off against West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
