Baseball Recap: Antelope Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Antelope Valley can bid farewell to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 18-5 margin over the Mojave Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Antelopes have posted since February 29, 2024.

Jadiel Moreno made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Moreno was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Jackson Williams was a standout: he scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austin Stevens, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
