Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield Township). They never let the Lower Moreland Lions get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Not much got past Nolan Kidwell, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Lower Moreland off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mike Capoferri, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matthew Caruso, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Capoferri wasn't the only one making solid contact: Springfield Township kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Springfield Township's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lower Moreland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Springfield Township will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
