Baseball Recap: Bowie Continues Road Dominance on Monday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Travis, Bowie was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Del Valle Cardinals a 7-0 shutout. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Bowie pushed their record up to 8-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Del Valle, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-8-1.

Bowie will have a chance to go back-to-back against Del Valle: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
