Basketball Recap: Thomas Glanton, III Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lithonia

Southwest DeKalb hadn't done well against Lithonia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Southwest DeKalb Panthers snuck past the Lithonia Bulldogs with a 55-50 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southwest DeKalb's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thomas Glanton, III led the charge by going 6 for 15 en route to 16 points. Glanton, III is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Jackson Ushery was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.
