Basketball Recap: KACHEA Takes a Loss

KACHEA was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Tennessee Vikings and fell 71-39.

KACHEA's loss came despite strong showings from Andrew Joyner and Bear VonAchen. Joyner went 7-for-10 to rack up 16 points in addition to eight boards and six blocks, while VonAchen posted seven points and four blocks. Joyner is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 16 games he's played dating back to last season.

KACHEA's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tennessee, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

KACHEA wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-32 defeat against Hampton on the 29th. As for Tennessee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-54 win against Clinton on the 29th.
