Zubayr Griffin leads Johnson City to victory over Elmira

Even though the Elmira Express scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, the Johnson City Wildcats still came out on top. Johnson City took their contest against Elmira 72-64. This was payback for Johnson City, who suffered a 88-72 loss the last time these two teams met.
Zubayr Griffin had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. Owen Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Johnson City's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Elmira, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson City will take on Norwich at 8:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Elmira, they will be playing at home against Maine-Endwell at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
