Softball Recap: Urbandale Comes Up Short

Urbandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Southeast Polk Rams, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the J-Hawks have lost by exactly ten runs.

Urbandale's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Southeast Polk, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Urbandale will face off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the J-Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southeast Polk, they will square off against Ankeny Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
