Softball Recap: Mount St. Mary Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mount St. Mary Academy's offense. They came up short against the Vilonia Eagles on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The Belles haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Mount St. Mary Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Vilonia, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Mount St. Mary Academy will venture away from home to face off against Robinson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Belles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Senators have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Vilonia, they will challenge Greenbrier at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
