Baseball Recap: Greater Johnstown Takes a Loss

Greater Johnstown lost against Richland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Greater Johnstown took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richland.

Brock Kobal was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Parker Cornelius also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Greater Johnstown dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Richland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greater Johnstown is set to challenge their familiar foe Chestnut Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Richland will square off against rival Forest Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
