Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kevin Barrera-Perez and Riley Turner Lead A.L. Brown to Victory

A.L. Brown barely beat Mooresville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wonders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Wonders in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

A.L. Brown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-20.

Leading A.L. Brown to victory were Riley Turner and Kevin Barrera-Perez. Turner had 11 digs and four aces, while Barrera-Perez had eight digs and six aces. Those 11 digs gave Turner a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: A.L. Brown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matchups.

A.L. Brown pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mooresville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
