Football Game Preview: Greater Latrobe Wildcats vs. Penn-Trafford Warriors + Official Tickets

Greater Latrobe hasn't had much luck against Penn-Trafford recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Greater Latrobe came into this matchup off a tough 36-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Gateway by a score of 27-24 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Penn-Trafford had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-7 win over the River Hawks. With the Warriors ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Greater Latrobe better keep an eye on Nate Desmond. He was instrumental in Penn-Trafford's win, throwing for 178 yards and four TDs on only eight passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Desmond a new career-high. Nick Ponko got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Greater Latrobe's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Penn-Trafford, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Greater Latrobe came up short against Penn-Trafford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 20-13. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Tasso Whipple (who rushed for 163 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
