Baseball Recap: Campbell County Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Campbell County and Scott pushed the score to 20-5 the last time they played Scott, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Camels had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1. The Camels haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Campbell County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Scott, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell County will host Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
