Basketball Game Preview: Altoona-Midway Jets vs. Burrton Chargers

The Altoona-Midway Jets will challenge the Burrton Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Altoona-Midway has three straight wins, Burrton has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Altoona-Midway had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 25-point drubbing they dealt Chetopa on Friday. Altoona-Midway put the hurt on Chetopa with a sharp 73-48 victory.

William Stackhouse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 41 times he's played. Kieran Foster was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Burrton was beaten by South Barber 70-24 on Friday.

Altoona-Midway pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Burrton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
